Title: Penalty for Making False Statement or Omission to Furnish Material Information

State: Central

Year: 2002

If any person, being a party to a combination,-- (a) makes a statement which is false in any material particular, or knowing it to be false; or (b) omits to state any material particular knowing it to be material, such person shall be liable to a penalty which shall not be less than rupees fifty lakhs but which may extend to rupees one crore, as may be determined by the Commission.

Title: Penalty for Offences in Relation to Furnishing of Information

Patents (Amendment) Act, 2002 Section 8

Title: Attachment of Property Involved in Money-laundering

Title: Recovery of Cost of Removal of Unauthorised Occupation and Fine Imposed

.....occupation or made any construction including alteration of construction in respect of any unauthorised occupation or repaired any damage under sub-section (2) of section 36, the material, if any, recovered as a result of such removal, construction, alteration or repair shall be retained in possession of the Highway Administration or such officer till the payment of the bill in respect thereof served under sub-section (2) and on payment of such bill such material shall be returned to the person entitled for the material, but in case of the failure of such payment within the time specified for the payment in the bill, the material may be sold by auction by the Highway Administration or such officer and after deduction of the amount payable under the bill from the proceeds of the auction, the balance, if any, shall be returned to the person entitled therefor. .....and Development Authority Act, 1999 (41 of 1999) or the Insurance Rules, 1939 shall have the meanings respectively assigned to them in those Acts or the rules. Regulation 3 Point of Sale (1) Notwithstanding anything mentioned in Regulation 2(e) above, a prospectus of any insurance product shall clearly state the scope of benefits, the extent of insurance cover and in an explicit manner explain the warranties, exceptions and conditions of the insurance cover and, in case of life insurance, whether the product is participating (with profits) or non-participating (without profits). The allowable rider or riders on the product shall be clearly spelt out with regard to their scope of benefits, and in no case, the premium relatable to all the riders put together shall exceed 30% of the premium of the main product. Explanation. The rider or riders attached to a life policy shall bear the nature and character of the main policy, viz. participating or non-participating and accordingly the life insurer shall make provisions, etc. in its books. (2) An insurer or its agent or other intermediary shall provide all material information in respect of a proposed cover to the prospect.....
