THE BOMBAY JUDICIAL PROCEEDINGS (REGULATION OF REPORTS) ACT, 1955 [Act No. 18 of 19551] [6th May, 1955] PREAMBLE An Act to regulate the publication of reports of judicial proceedings. WHEREAS it is necessary to regulate the publication of reports of judicial proceedings, so as to prevent the publica tion of obscene or indecent matter and other matters, the publication of which will not be in the public interest; It is hereby enacted in the Sixth Year of the Republic of India, as follows:- _________________ 1. Title: Restrictions on Publication of Reports of Judicial Proceedings

.....the names of the parties; and (2) the order of the Court; (c) in respect of any judicial proceedings in connection with an offence under sections 354, 366, 366A, 366B, 376, 377 or 498 of the Indian Penal Code, Penal Code, any particulars other than the following, that is to say:- (1) the name, occupation and address of the accused; and (2) the order of the Court, without disclosing the iden tity of, or giving any particulars calculated to lead to the identification of, any person who may have been a victim of the offence : Provided that, nothing in this section shall apply to the printing of any pleading, transcript of evidence or other document for use in connection with any judicial proceedings or the communication thereof to persons concerned in the proceedings or to the printing or publishing of any notice or report in pursuance of the directions of the Court or to the printing or publishing of any matter in a separate volume or part of any bona fide series of law reports or in any publication of a technical character bona fide intended for circulation among members of the legal or medical professions.

Motor Vehicles Act, 1939 Complete Act

.....cab notwithstanding that the passengers may pay separate fares; 12 [* * * * * * *] 13[(4) "dealer" includes a person who 18 engaged in the manufacture of motor vehicles or in building bodies for attachment to chassis;] Clause 2-Sub-clause (a).- At present a State Government may make rules under clause (k) of sub-section (2) of section 41 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1939-to exempt, from the provisions of the Act relating to registration motor vehicles in the possession of dealers and specify the conditions subject to which such exemptions may be granted and the fees payable therefor. This sub-clause seeks to define the expression "dealer" so as to include a person who is engaged in the manufacture of motor vehicles or in building bodies for attachment to chassis.-S.O.R. Gaz. of India. 17-8-78, Pt. II 8.2, Ext., p. 1120. (5) "driver" includes, where a separate person acts as steersman of a motor vehicle, that person as well as any other person engaged in the driving of the vehicle; 14[(5A) "driving licence" means the document issued by a competent authority under Chapter II authorising the person specified therein to drive a motor vehicle or a motor vehicle of any specified.....

.....CERTIFICATES -45[If a [State Government] suspends or cancels an endorsement made undersection 10A-on a certificate of survey it] shall report the fact of suspension or cancellation, together with the reasons therefor, to the46[State Government] which (or whose delegate) granted the certificate. .....Sub-Divisional Magistrate as regards the registration offices within his own jurisdiction may frame and publish lists of persons proved to his satisfaction or to the satisfaction of any Sub-Registrar as provided in section 80C, by evidence of general repute or otherwise, habitually to act as torts, and may from time to time, alter and amend such lists. (2) No person's name shall be included in any such list until he shall have had an opportunity of showing cause against such inclusion.
