SECTION 76: MISNOMER OR MISS DESCRIPTION OF OBJECT (1) Where the words used in a will to designate or describe a legatee or a class of legatees sufficiently show what is meant, an error in the name or description shall not prevent the legacy from taking effect. (2) A mistake in the name of a legatee may be corrected by a description of him, and a mistake in the description of a legatee may be corrected by the name. SECTION 77: WHEN WORDS MAY BE SUPPLIED Where any word material to the full expression of the meaning has been omitted, it may be supplied by the context. For the purposes of this Chapter "dependants" means the following relatives of the deceased:- (i) his or her father; (ii) his or her mother; (iii) his widow, so long as she does not re-marry; (iv) his or her son or the son of his predeceased son or the son of predeceased son of his predeceased son, so long as he is a minor;provided and to the extent that he is unable to obtain maintenance, in the case of a grandson from his father's or mother's estate, and in the case of a great grand-son, from the estate of his father or mother or father's father or father's mother; (v) his or her unmarried daughter, or the unmarried daughter of his predeceased son or the unmarried daughter of a predeceased son of his predeceased son, so long as she remains unmarried: provided and to the extent that she is unable to obtain maintenance, in the case of a grand-daughter from her father's or mother's estate and in the case of a great-grand-daughter from the estate of her father or mother or father's father or father's mother; (vi) his widowed daughter:provided and to the extent that she is unable to obtain maintenance- (a) from the estate of her husband, or (b) from her son or daught

.....TO LUNATICS If any depositor becomes insane or otherwise incapable of managing his affairs, and if such insanity or incapacity is proved to the satisfaction of the Secretary of the Bank in which his deposit may be, such Secretary may, from time to time, make payments out of the deposit to any proper person, and the receipt of such person, for money paid under this section, shall be a sufficient discharge therefor. Where a committee or manager of the depositor's estate has been duly appointed, nothing in this section authorizes payments to any person other than such committee or manager. SECTION 13: PAYMENT OF MARRIED WOMEN'S DEPOSITS Any deposit made by or on behalf of a married woman, or by or on behalf of a woman who afterwards marries, may be paid to her, whether or not 21 [ section 20 of the Indian Succession Act, 1925 ] applies to her marriage; and her receipt for money paid to her under this section shall be a sufficient discharge therefor.
