.....to amend th law relating to telegraphs in India; It is hereby enacted as follows :- SECTION 01: SHORT TITLE, LOCAL EXTENT AND COMMENCEMENT (1) This Act may be called the Indian Telegraph Act, 1885. 1[(2) It extends to the whole of India2[* * *].] (3) It shall come into force on the first day of October, 1885.
