New Delhi Municipal Council Act 1994 Section 298

Title : Conditions of Service of Sweepers and Certain Other Class of Persons Employed in Municipal Service

(1) No person being a sweeper employed by the Council shall in the absence of any contract authorising him so to do and without reasonable cause, resign his employment or absent himself from his duty without having given one month's notice to the Chairperson or shall neglect or without reasonable cause refuse to perform his duties. (2) The Council may by resolution direct that on or from such date as may be specified in the resolution, the provisions of this section shall apply in the case of any specified class of persons employed by the Council whose functions are intimately concerned with public health or safety.

Karnataka Municipalities Act, 1964 Section 375

Title : Conditions of Service of Sweepers and Certain Other Class of Persons Employed in Municipal Service

(1) No person being a sweeper employed by the municipal council shall, in the absence of a contract authorising him so to do and without reasonable cause resign his employment or absent himself from his duty without having given one month's notice to the Municipal Commissioner or Chief Officer or shall neglect or without reasonable cause refuse to perform his duties. (1) The State Government may, without prejudice to the conditions specified in Schedule II, specify in the Scheme the conditions for providing guaranteed employment under this Act.
