.....in the Statutes; (d) to institute prizes, medals, research studentships, exhibitions and fellowships; (e) to receive gifts, donations or benefactions from the Government and to receive gifts, donations and transfers of movable or immovable property from transferors, donors or testators, as the case may be; (f) to institute principal ships, professorships, readerships, is lectureships, and to create other posts of any description required by the University and to appoint persons to such posts; (g) to co-operate with educational and other institutions in India and abroad having objects similar to those of the University in such manner as may be conducive to their common objects; (h) to provide instructions, including correspondence and such other courses, to such persons as are not members of the University, as it may determine; (i) to recognize persons for imparting instructions in any college or institution admitted to the privileges of the University; (j) to maintain colleges located within the limits of the area referred to in sub-section (1) of section 4 or, subject to the provisions of sub section (2) of that section admit to its privileges colleges not.....
