.....the Central Government or the person, officer or authority in respect of anything done by it or him in good faith in pursuance of this Act or of any rule or order made, or direction issued, thereunder. 48. Power to make rules. - (1) The Central Government may, by notification, make rules for carrying out the purposes of this Act. (2) In particular, and without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing powers such rules may provide for - (a) the other financial security and the manner thereof under sub-section (1) of section 8;(b) the salary and allowances payable to and the other terms and conditions of service of Claims Commissioner under section 11; (c) the procedure to be followed by Claims Commissioner under sub-section (1) of section 12; (d) the person to be associated by Claims Commissioner and the manner thereof, under sub-section (2) of section 12; (e) the remuneration, fee or allowances of associated person under sub-section (3) of section 12; (f) any other matter under clause (f) of sub-section (4) of section 12; (g) the form of application, the particulars it shall contain and the documents it shall accompany, under sub-section (1) of section 15;(h) the salary and.....

.....(hereinafter referred to as Administered Areas) set out in the Second Schedule] or by way of expenses or compensation awarded by a Court under section 545 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1898 (5 of 1898), out of any fine imposed under this Act, or by way of penalties imposed under the Scheme, and out of which shall be paid all sums required for the discharge by the Central Government of any of its liabilities under this Act or the Scheme, or for the payment by the Central Government of the remuneration and expenses of agents employed for the purposes of the Scheme, or for the payment by the Central Government of the costs of administering the Scheme: Provided that no payment from the Fund shall be made in discharge of any liability of the Government to pay compensation to workmen employed by it. 1 [344B.Nuclear passenger ship safety certificates and nuclear cargo ship safetycertificates (1) If in respect of any Indian nuclear passenger or cargo ship the Central Government is satisfied that the ship has been surveyed in accordance with this Act and has been inspected by a person appointed in this behalf by the Central Government and has complied with such special requirements, if any, as that person has, after such inspection, specified, the Central Government may issue-- (a) in the case of a passenger ship, a nuclear passenger ship safety certificate; (b) in the case of a cargo ship, a nuclear cargo ship safety certificate.
