Every member of an Air Force Reserve or the Auxiliary Air Force shall, during the period of his service, be liable to be called up-- (a) for training for such period as may be prescribed and for medical examination, (b) for service in aid of the civil power, (c) for Air Force service in India or abroad. Section 26 - Application of Air Force Act, 1950 Every member of an Air Force Reserve or the Auxiliary Air Force shall, when called up for training, medical examination or for service under this Act, be subject to the Air Force Act, 1950, and the rules made thereunder in the same manner as a person belonging to the Air Force and holding the same rank is subject to the said Act and rules and shall continue to be so subject until duly released from such training, medical examination or service, as the case may be.

Title: Recruitment to the Regular Air Force Reserve

.....to such conditions as may be prescribed, by special order, appoint to the Regular Air Force Reserve any member of the Air Defence Reserve or the Auxiliary Air Force raised and maintained under this Act, and where any such member is so appointed, he shall cease to be a member of the Air Defence Reserve or the Auxiliary Air Force, as the case may be, and shall as from the date of such appointment be deemed to be a member of the Regular Air Force Reserve. (3) The competent authority may, for reasons which in its opinion are sufficient, cancel any order made under sub-section (1) or sub-section (2) and on the cancellation of such order the person in respect of whom the order had been made shall cease to be a member of the Regular Air Force Reserve

Title: Offences Relating to Force Court

Any person subject to this Act who commits any of the following offences, that is to say, (a) being duly summoned or ordered to attend as a witness before a Force Court, wilfully or without reasonable excuse, makes default in attending; or (b) refuses to take an oath or make an affirmation legally required by a Force Court to be taken or made; or (c) refuses to produce or deliver any document in his power or control legally required by a Force Court to be produced or delivered by him; or (d) refuses, when a witness, to answer any question which he is by law bound to answer; or (e) is guilty of contempt of the Force Court by using insulting or threatening language, or by causing any interruption or disturbance in the proceedings of such Court, shall, on conviction by a Force Court, be liable to suffer imprisonment for a term which may extend to three years or such less punishment as is in this Act mentioned.

.....service of a railway, then, whether such employment was before or is after the commencement of this Act,- (a) Any provision of the Indian Railways Act, 1890(9 of 1890), or of the rules made thereunder, which confers a power, status or immunity, or imposes a duty or liability, upon a railway servant, in connection with the working use, management and maintenance of railways, shall be construed as conferring the same power, status or immunity or imposing the same duty or liability, as the case may be, upon such member of the Armed Forces of the Union when so employed; (b) The employment of a member of the Armed Forces of the Union, in addition to or in the place of any railway servant, shall not affect any liability that would have attached to the railway administration had such member been a railway servant. (2) Nothing in sub-section (1) shall be construed as making applicable to the members of the Armed Forces of the Union employed to assist a railway administration the provisions of Chapter VIA of the Indian Railways Act, 1890(9 of 1890), or as derogating from any provision of a law regulating the governance, control and discipline of the members of the Armed Forces of.....

Title: Provisions as to Existing Force

(1) The Force constituted under the principal Act, as functioning immediately before the commencement of this Act (hereafter in this section referred to as the existing Force) shall, on such commencement, be deemed to be the Force constituted under the principal Act as amended by this Act, and every member of the existing Force holding immediately before such commencement an office mentioned in column (1) of the Table below shall, on such commencement be deemed to have been appointed to the office mentioned in the corresponding entry in column (2) of the said Table.
