Section 14 - Powers relating to inquiries (1) The Commission shall, while inquiring into any matter referred to in clause (j) of sub-section (1) of section 13 have all the powers of a civil court trying a suit under the Code of Civil Procedure, 1908(5 of 1908) and, in particular, in respect of the following matters, namely:-- (a) summoning and enforcing the attendance of any person and examining him on oath; (b) discovery and production of any document; (c) receiving evidence on affidavits; (d) requisitioning any public record or copy thereof from any court or office; and (e) issuing commissions for the examination of witnesses or documents. (2) The Commission shall have the power to forward any case to a Magistrate having jurisdiction to try the same and the Magistrate to whom any such case is forwarded shall proceed to hear the complaint against the accused as if the case has been forwarded to him under section 346 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973(2 of 1974). Regulation 3 Tie-up between life insurer and non-life insurer (1) An insurer carrying on life insurance business may offer life micro-insurance products as also general micro-insurance products, as provided herein. Provided that where an insurer carrying on life insurance business offers any general micro-insurance product, he shall have a tie-up with an insurer carrying on general insurance business for this purpose, and subject to the provisions of Sec. 64-VB of the Act, the premium attributable to the general micro insurance product may be collected from the prospect (proposer) by the insurer carrying on life insurance business, either directly or through any of the distributing entities of micro-insurance products as specified in Regulation 4, and made over to the insurer carrying on life insurance business. Bombay Nursing Homes Registration (Amendment) Act, 2005, (Maharashtra) Section 4

For section 6 of the principal Act, the following section shall be substituted, namely :- "6. Penalty for non-registration :- Whoever contravenes the provisions of section 3, shall, on conviction, be punished with imprisonment which may extend to six months or with fine which may extend to ten thousand rupees or with both." 5. Amendment of section 12 of Bom. XV of 1949 :- In section 12 of the principal Act,- (a) for the words "fifty rupees" the words "five thousand rupees" shall be substituted; (b) for the words "fifteen rupees" the words "fifty rupees" shall be substituted. 6. Amendment of section 16 of Bom. XV of 1949 :- In section 16 of the principal Act, in sub-section (2), to clause (b), the following proviso shall be added, namely :- "Provided that, the State Government may prescribe different rates of fees for registration of nursing homes, having regard to the area in which such nursing home is situated, the number of beds therein, the number of specialisations offered in such nursing home;"

Costal Aquaculture Authority Act, 2005 Complete Act
