Karnataka Inland Fisheries (Conservation Development and Regulation) Act, 1996 Section 10

Title: Term of Office and Conditions of Service of Nominated Members

(1) Subject to the pleasure of the State Government and the provisions of section 11, the nominated members of the Board shall hold office for a period of three years from the date of their nomination. (2) Every nominated member may at any time resign his office by sending a letter of resignation addressed to the State Government: Provided that the resignation shall not take effect until it is accepted.

.....shall be admitted as a member of a co-operative society except the following, namely:-- (a) an individual competent to contract under the Contract Act, 1872(Central Act IX of 1872): (b) any other co-operative society; (c) the state Government or the Central Government; (d) the Life Insurance Corporation of India, State WarehousingCorporation and such other institutions as may be approved by the State Government; (e) a firm, a company or any other body corporate constituted underany law for the time being in force including a society registered under the Karnataka Societies Registration Act, 1960 (Karnataka Act 17 of 1960); (f) a Market Committee established under the Karnataka Agricultural Produce Marketing (Regulation) Act, 1966 (Karnataka Act 27 of 1966); (g) a local authority. Maharashtra Legislature Members Pension Act, 1976 Complete Act

Title: Term of Office and Fresh Nomination in Certain Cases

(1) The terms of office of nominated members shall be such as may be prescribed. (2) Any nominated member may resign his office by giving notice in writing to the Government nomination him, and on such resignation being notified by the Central Government in the Official Gazette, he shall be deemed to have vacated his office on the date of public of such notification. Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 Section 7

Title: Term of Office of President, Vice-president and Members

.....shall be deemed to have vacated his seat if he is absent without excuse, sufficient in the opinion of the Council, from three consecutive ordinary meetings of the Council or, in the case of a member elected under cl. (b) of sub-section (1) of section 3, if he ceases to be a member of the medical faculty of the University concerned, or in the case of a member elected under clause (c) or clause (d) of that sub-section, if he ceases to be a person enrolled on the State Medical Register concerned.
