.....which The Punjab State Electricity Regulatory Commission established under sub-section (1) of section 17 of the Electricity Regulatory Commissions Act, 1998 (Act No. 14 of 1998), is empowered to discharge. (2) The Authority shall always act consistent with the objectives and purposes for which it has been established. (3) Orders passed by the Authority in exercise of its powers under this Act, shall be final and binding on all concerned and shall be executable as a decree. All national highways shall vest in the Union, and for the purposes of this Act "highways" include-- (i) all lands appurtenant thereto, whether demarcated or not; (ii) all bridges, culverts, tunnels, causeways, carriageways and other structures constructed on or across such highways; and (iii) all fences, trees, posts and boundary, furlong and milestones of such highways or any land appurtenant to such highways.

.....date appointed under sub-section (2) of section 1-for the coming into force of this Act; (b) "law" means so much of any Act, Ordinance, Regulation, rule, order or bye-law as relates to any of the matters enumerated in Lists I and III in the Seventh Schedule to the Constitution-; (c) "scheduled areas" means the areas specified in the Schedule. SECTION 03: ASSIMILATION OF LAWS (1) All laws which immediately before the appointed day extend lo. or are in force in. Hie scheduled areas shall on that day cease to be in force in the scheduled areas except as respects things done or omitted to be done before that day, and for the removal of doubts, it is hereby declared that section 6 of the General Clauses Act, 1897-shall apply in relation to such cesser as it applies in relation to the repeal of an enactment by a Central Act. (2) All laws which immediately before the appointed day extend to, or are in force in, the Darrang district of the State of Assam shall as from that day extend to, or, as the case may be, come into force in the areas specified in paragraph 1 of the Schedule.
