I OF 1993) An Act to provide for better regu1ation of marketing of agricultural produce and the establishment and proper administration of markets for agriculture produce and for matters connected therewith and incidental thereto. Be it enacted by the Legislative Assembly of Sikkirn in the Forty-fourth Year of the Republic of India as follows : CHAPTER I PRELIMINARY (1) This Act may be called the Sikkim Agriculture Produce Market Act. 1993. It extends to the whole of the State of Sikkim. (2) It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette. appoint and different dates may be appointed for different areas.
