Be it enacted by the Chhattisgarh Legislature in the Fifty-sixth Year of the Republic of India as follows:-- Section 1 - Short title and commencement (1) This Act may be called the Chhattisgarh Sthaniya Kshetra Me Mal Ke Pravesh Par Kar (Sanshodhan) Adhiniyam, 2005. (2) It shall come into force from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette. (2) It shall come into force from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette. Section 2 - Amendment of Schedule I In schedule I of the Chhattisgarh Sthaniya Kshetra Me Mal Ke Pravesh Par Kar Adhiniyam, 1976 (No. 52 of 1976) (hereinafter referred to as the principal act), in column (2) against serial No. 1 after the words "bran" the words "and rice bran" shall be inserted. .....This Act may be called the Chhattisgarh Sthaniya Kshetra Me Mal Ke Pravesh Par Kar (Sanshodhan) Adhiniyam, 2014 (2) It shall come into force with effect from the 1st April, 2014. 2. Amendment of Section 2. After clause (ff) of sub-section (1) of Section 2 of the Chhattisgarh Sthaniya Kshetra Me Mal Ke Pravesh par Kar Adhiniyam, 1976 (No. 52 of 1976), (here-in-after referred to as the Principal Act), the following shall be inserted, namely:- (fff) Market Value means the value at which the goods are generally sold in the market or where the goods are not generally sold in the market or the correct sale price thereof is not ascertainable, such value as may be notified by the State Government. 3. Amendment of Section 3. For sub-clause (ii) of clause (a) of sub-section (2) of Section 3 of the Principal Act, the following shall be substituted, namely:- (ii) such tax, as may be notified by the State Government shall be levied from such persons or class of persons, to whom the provisions of sub-section (1) do not apply, and thereupon the tax so notified, shall be paid by such persons or class of persons.

Any person aggrieved- (a) By any judgment, decree, order or sentence of the Tribunal de Relacao passed or made before the 20th December, 1961, against which an appeal would lie to a superior Court in Portugal in accordance with law but could not be preferred by reason of Goa, Daman and Diu becoming part of the territory of India, or against which an appeal having been preferred to a superior Court in Portugal in accordance with law had not been disposed of before the said date; or (b) By any judgment, decree, order or sentence of the Tribunal de Relacao passed or made on or after the 20th December, 1961, may, within ninety days from the date of passing of this Act, prefer an appeal from such judgment, decree, order or sentence to the Supreme Court as if such judgment, decree, order or sentence had been passed or made by the Judicial Commissioner's Court.
