Karnataka Irrigation Act, 1965 Section 32

Title: Power to Prescribe the Kind of Crop to Be Grown Under the Irrigation Area and the Period of Sowing Such Crop

.....person concerned, shall,-- (a) be liable for contravening the provisions of this section; and (b) also be liable to pay such water rate,2[or water charges as the case may be] as may be determined by the Irrigation Officer, not being less than the five times and not exceeding ten times the water rate2[or water charges as the case may be] which he would otherwise have been required to pay: Provided that if no water is utilised either directly or indirectly from the irrigation work for growing any crop, the provisions of sub--sections (3) and (4) shall not be applicable.] ___________________ 1 . .....exercise of the powers vested in him under sub- section (1) of section 4 of the Himachal Pradesh Judicial Officers (Pay and Conditions of Service) Act, 2003 (Act No.10 of 2003), is pleased to make the following rules to regulate the pay of Judicial Officers, namely:- 1. Short title.- These rules may be called the Himachal Pradesh Judicial Officers (Pay Fixation) Rules, 2003. 2. Definitions.- (1) In these rules, unless there is anything repugnant to the subject or context,- (a) "Act" means the Himachal Pradesh Judicial Officers (Pay and Conditions of Service) Act, 2003; (b) "basic pay" means the amount drawn monthly by a Judicial Officer in the existing scale of the post held by him or to which he is entitled by the reasons of his position in a cadre including ex-gratia annual increment(s) and additional pay, if any, but shall not include Special Pay and Personal Pay; (c) "Government" means the Government of Himachal Pradesh; (d) "existing pay scale" means the pre-revised pay scale in respect of a post held or a personal scale allowed to a Judicial Officer as on 1st day of January, 1996, whether in a substantive or officiating capacity; (e) "revised pay" means basic pay of a.....

Maharashtra Irrigation Act, 1976 Complete Act

.....are applicable to the acquisition of such land or the extinguishment of such right or interest. (4) Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in this Act or in the Land Acquisition Act, 1894, within not less than fifteen days (except by private negotiations) after the publication of the declaration under sub-section (2) of the publication of the notification under sub-section (2) of Section 25, the State Government may direct that any land in respect of which a notification has been issued shall be taken possession of by the Canal Officer duly empowered in this behalf by it, and the right and interest in land specified in the notification shall be extinguished from the date specified in the direction and on such possession being taken, the said land shall vest absolutely in the State Government free from all encumbrances: Provided that, before or at the time of taking possession of any land under this sub -section, the Collector shall offer to the person interested compensation for the standing crops, trees and structure, if any, on such land and for any damage sustained by him which is caused by such sudden dispossession, and not excepted in Section 24 of the Land Acquisition.....

Maharashtra Minor Forest Produce (Regulation of Trade) Act, 1969 Complete Act

.....units, and in so doing regard shall be had amongst other things, to (a) prices of the respective minor forest produce obtained or fixed under this Act, or any enactment during the preceding three years in respect of the area comprised in the unit; (b) the quality of the minor forest produce grown in the unit; (c) transport facilities available in the unit; (d) the cost of transport; and (e) the general level of wages for unskilled labour prevalent in the unit.
