Trade Unions Act, 1926 Chapter II

Title: Registration of Trade Unions

.....Union shall not be entitled to registration under this Act, unless the executive thereof is constituted in accordance with the provisions of this Act, and the rules thereof provide for the following matters, namely:- (a) the name of the Trade Union; (b) the whole of the objects for which the Trade Union has been established;. (c) the whole of the purposes for which the general funds of the Trade Union shall be applicable, all of which purposes shall be purposes to which such funds are lawfully applicable under this Act; (d) the maintenance of a list of the members of the Trade Union and adequate facilities for the inspection thereof by the1[office-bearers] and members of Trade Union; (e) the admission of ordinary members who shall be persons actually engaged or employed in an industry with which the Trade Union is connected, and also the admission of the number of honorary or temporary members as1[office-bearers] required under section 22 to form the executive of the Trade Union; 2[(ee) the payment of a minimum subscription by members of the Trade Union which shall not be less than- (i) one rupee per annum for rural workers; (ii) three rupees per annum for.....

Title: Official Language or Languages of Union Territory and Language or Languages to Be Used in Legislative Assembly Thereof

Title: Rights and Liabilities of Registered Trade Unions

Title: Exemption of Property of the Union from Taxation

The property of the Union shall, save in so far as Parliament may by law otherwise provide, be exempted from all taxes0imposed by or under any law made by the Legislative Assembly of1[the Union territory] or by or under any other law in force in1[the Union territory] : Provided that nothing in this section shall, until Parliament by law otherwise provides, prevent any authority within1[the Union territory] from levying any tax on any property of the Union to which such property was immediately before the commencement of the Constitution liable or treated as liable, so long as that tax continues to be levied in that Union territory. _______________________ 1. Title: Certain Acts Not to Apply to Registered Trade Unions

.....the dispute. The decision of the Industrial Court shall be final and shall not be called in question in any Court of law. Government of Union Territories Act, 1963 Section 48

Title: Contingency Fund of the Union Territory

(1) There shall be established a Contingency Fund in the nature of an imprest to be entitled "the Contingency Fund of the Union Territory" into which shall be paid from and out of the Consolidated Fund of the Union territory such sums as may, from time to time, be determined by law made by the Legislative Assembly of the Union territory; and the said Fund shall be held by the Administrator to enable advances to be made by him out of such Fund. (2) No advances shall be made out of the contingency Fund of the Union territory except for the purposes of. meeting unforeseen expenditure pending authorisation of such expenditure by the Legislative Assembly of the Union territory under appropriations made by law. (3) The Administrator may make rules regulating all matters connected with or ancillary to the custody of, the payment of moneys into, and the withdrawal of moneys from the Contingency Fund of the Union territory.
