THE DELHI CO-OPERATIVE SOCIETIES ACT, 2003 "THE DELHI CO-OPERATIVE SOCIETIES ACT, 2003" (DELHI ACT 3 OF 2004) (As passed by the Legislative Assembly of the National Capital Territory of Delhi on the 29th July, 2003) [3rd March, 2003] As Act to consolidate and amend the laws relating to co-operative societies, to facilitate the voluntary formation and democratic functioning of co-operatives as people's institutions based on self help and mutual aid to enable them to promote their economic and social betterment and to provide for regulation, management, functional autonomy of such societies and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto in the National Capital Territory of Delhi. Be it enacted by the Legislative Assembly of the National Capital Territory of Delhi in the Fifty fourth Year of Republic of India as follows: - CHAPTER - I PRELIMINARY Short title, extent and commencement. (1) This Act may be called the Delhi Co-operative Societies Act, 2003. (2) It extends to the whole of the National Capital Territory of Delhi. Title: Payment of Compensation of Damages or Transfer

Notwithstanding anything contained in the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947 (14 of 1947) or any other law for the time being in force and except for the provisions made in this Act, the transfer of the employment of the officers and employees referred to in sub-section (1) of section 133 shall not entitle such officers and employees to any compensation or damages under this Act, or any other Central or State law, save as provided in the transfer scheme.

Section 68 - Overhead lines (1) An overhead line shall, with prior approval of the Appropriate Government, be installed or kept installed above ground in accordance with the provisions of sub-section (2).
