Navy Act, 1957 Section 25

Title: Right of the Chief of the Naval Staff or Commanding Officers to Obtain Copies of Judgments or Orders Made by a Criminal Court

State: Central

Year: 1957

A criminal court before which any proceedings have been taken against a person in the naval service while subject to naval law shall, on application by the Chief of the Naval Staff or the commanding officer of that person, grant copies of the judgment and final orders in the case free of cost and without delay.

Title: Final Orders for Securing Compliance

.....or objections, which are duly made and not withdrawn within 10 days of the receipt thereof. (5) The provisions of clauses (a) and (b) of sub-section (6) of section 29 shall apply to final orders. (6) As soon as practicable after making a final order, the Commission shall with respect to the final order, follow the procedure set out in clauses (a) and (b) of sub-section (7) of section 29. (7) The Commission may revoke a final order at any time, but before revoking a final order the Commission shall give notice,- (a) stating that it proposes to revoke the order and setting out its effect; and (b) specifying the period (being not less than thirty days from the date of delivery of the notice) within which representations or objections to the proposed publication may be made and shall consider any representations or objections which are duly made and not withdrawn within ten days of the receipt thereof. Karnataka Electricity Reform Act, 1999 Section 31

Title: Effect and Enforcement of Interim and Final Orders and Emergency Provisions

(1) Without prejudice to section 47 of this Act, all orders and directions, interim or final, passed by the Commission shall be enforceable in law as if it were a decree passed by a Civil Court. (2) The Commission shall be entitled to take such assistance of the police and other authorities in the State required to effectively enforce the orders and directions given by the Commission. (3) The Commission shall be entitled to give directions for vesting of the management and control of any of the undertaking of the licensee with the assets, interests and rights of the undertaking pending any inquiry and passing of interim or final orders in the matter, if the Commission considers, taking into account the object and purposes of this Act and the need to maintain continued supply of electricity in an efficient and safe manner to the consumer, it is imminent to pass such order or directions. Such directions or orders shall not be questioned on the ground that no prior notice of or hearing on the intention to pass the order or direction was given to the licensee. Where in the exercise of its powers and performance of its duties the Committee passes any final order against any person directing him to do, or to abstain from doing, something, the person against whom the order is directed shall be bound to comply with the order and in case of non-compliance with such order any civil court within the local limits of whose jurisdiction the person against whom the order has been passed, resides or carries on business may execute the order in the same manner and by the same procedure as if it were a decree or order passed by itself in a suit.
