Indian Succession Act, 1925 Section 317

Title: Inventory and Account

.....of the estate, showing the assets which have come to his hands and the manner in which they have been applied or disposed of. (2) The High Court may prescribe the form in which an inventory or account under this section is to be exhibited. (3) If an executor or administrator, on being required by the Court to exhibit an inventory or account under this section, intentionally omits to comply with the requisition, he shall be deemed to have committed an offence under section 176 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860(45 of 1860). (4) The exhibition of an intentionally false inventory or account under this section shall be deemed to be an offence under section 193 of that Code.

Title: Inventory.notice of Intended Appraisement and Sale

On seizing any property under section 57 the bailiff shall make an inventory of such property and shall give a notice in writing to the effect of the form (marked C) in the third schedule hereto annexed to the debtor, or to any other person upon his behalf in or upon the said house or premises. Section 318 - Inventory to include property in any part of India in certain cases In all cases where a grant has been made of probate or letters of administration intended to have effect throughout1[India],2[* * *] the executor or administrator shall include in the inventory of the effects of the deceased all his movable and immovable property situate in1[India] and the value of such property situate in each state shall be separately stated in such inventory, and the probate or letters of administration shall be chargeable with a fee corresponding to the entire amount or value of the property affected thereby wheresoever situate within1[India]. ______________________ 1. (1) Every person appointed as a guardian under section 14 shall, within a period of six months from the date of his appointment, deliver to the authority which appointed him, an inventory of immovable property belonging to the person with disability and all assets and other movable property received on behalf of the person with disability, together with a statement of all claims due to and all debts and liabilities due by such person with disability. (2) Every guardian shall also furnish to the said appointing authority within a period of three months at the close of every financial year, an account of the property and assets in his charge, the sums received and disbursed on account of the person with disability and the balance remaining with him.

Title: Operating Agency to Prepare Complete Inventory, Etc.

Where for the proper discharge of the functions of the Tribunal under this Part, the circumstances so require, the Tribunal may, through any operating agency, cause to be prepared-- (a) with respect to a company a complete inventory of-- (i) all assets and liabilities of whatever nature; (ii) all books of account, registers, maps, plans, records, documents of title or ownership of property and all other documents of whatever nature relating thereto; (b) a list of shareholders and a list of creditors showing separately in the list of creditors, the secured creditors and unsecured creditors; (c) a valuation report in respect of the shares and assets in order to arrive at the reserve price for the sale of a part or whole of the industrial undertaking of the company or for fixation of the lease rent or share exchange ratio; (d) an estimate of reserve price, lease rent or share exchange ratio; (e) proforma accounts, where no up-to-date audited accounts are available.

Wild Life (Protection) Act, 1972 Section 41

Title: Inquiry and Preparation of Inventories

(1) On receipt of a declaration made under section 40, the Chief Wild Life Warden or the authorised officer may after such notice, in such manner and at such time, as may be prescribed, (a) enter upon the premises of a person referred to in section 40; (b) make inquiries and prepare inventories of animal articles, trophies, uncured trophies, salted and dried skins and captive animals specified in Schedule I and Part II of Schedule II and found thereon; and (c) affix upon the animals, animal articles, trophies or uncured trophies identification marks in such manner as may be prescribed. (2) No person shall obliterate or counterfeit any identification mark referred to in this Chapter.

Mental Health Act, 1987 Section 60

Title: Manager to Furnish Inventory and Annual Accounts

(1) Every manager appointed under this Act shall, within a period of six months from the date of his appointment, deliver to the authorily, which appointed him, an inventory of the immovable property belonging to the mentally ill person and of all assets and other movable property received on behalf of the menially ill person, together with a statement of all claims due to and all debts and liabilities due by, such mentally ill person.
