(3) The Central Government may, by notification, declare, for such period as it may consider necessary such special units of weight or measure as the General Conference.....

Title: Base Unit of Electric Current

(1) The base unit of electric current shall be the ampere. (2) The "ampere" is that constant current which if maintained in two straight parallel conductors of infinite length, of negligible circular cross-section, and placed one metre apart in vacuum, would produce between these conductors a force equal to 2 x 107newton per metre of length.

.....nor shall the service of such notice be deemed to prevent the Government from taking any proceeding de novo in respect of the undertaking under this Act.
