Karnataka Land Revenue Act, 1964 Section 132

Title: Certified Copies of Records to Be Annexed to Plaint or Application

.....the provisions of the Code of CivilProcedure apply; (b) 'application' means an application,-- (i) for the execution of a decree or order in a suit; (ii) for the filing of an agreement stating a case for the opinion of the court under the Code of Civil Procedure, 1908; (iii) for the filing of an agreement to refer to arbitration under section 20 of the Arbitration Act, 1940 (Central Act 10 of 1940); (iv) for the filing of an award under section 14 of the said Arbitration Act; (v) of any other kind to which the State Government may, by notification, direct that this section shall apply; (c) an application shall be deemed to relate to land, if the decree or other matter with respect to which an application is made, relates to land; (d) a suit, decree or other matter relating to land shall, without prejudice, to the generality of the expression, be deemed to include a suit, decree or other matter relating to rent or tenancy of land.

Title: Debts in Respect of Which No Application for Adjustment or Settlement is Made to Be Void

(1) Every debt due from a debtor in respect of which no application has been made under section 4 within the period specified in the said section 4 or in respect of which no application for recording a settlement is made under section 8 within the period specified in the said section 8 or in respect of which an application made to the Court is withdrawn under section 12 and no fresh application is made under section 4 and every debt due from such debtor in respect of which a statement is not submitted to the Court by the creditor in compliance with the provisions of section 14 shall be extinguished. (2) Nothing in this section shall apply to any debt due from any person who has by his declaration, act or omission intentionally caused or permitted his creditor be believe that he is not a debtor for the purposes of this Act or that no application under section 4 can be entertained in respect of any debt owed by such person to such creditor by reason of the provisions of section 11.

.....registered in respect of an industry, a union having a membership of not less than fifteen per cent of the total number of employees employed in any undertaking in such industry in the said area and complying with the condition specified in section 23 as necessary for its being placed on the approved list may apply in the prescribed form to the Registrar for registration as a Primary Union for such industry in such local area. 3[(4) Notwithstanding anything contained in this section, if a union makes a fresh application for registration as a Representative Union, Qualified Union, or as the case may be, Primary Union, before a previous application for such registration has been finally disposed of by the Registrar, the Registrar shall not entertain such application.] _____________________ 1. .....follows:- 1.Short title.--- This Act may be called the Opium and Revenue Laws (Extension of Application) Amendment Act, 1951. 2. Amendment of section 3, Act XXXIII of 1950.-- For clause (b) of section 3 of the Opium and Revenue Laws (Extension of Application) Act, 1950, the following clauses shall be substituted and shall be deemed always to have been substituted, namely: "(b) in the disposal of cases transferred to the Central Commission under clause (a), it shall have and exercise the same powers as it has and exercises in the investigation of cases referred to it under the Taxation on Income (Investigation Commission) Act, 1947 (XXX of 1947), and shall be entitled to act for the same term as under sub-section (3) of section 4 of that Act: (bb) any decision given, whether before or after the commencement of this Act, by the Chief Revenue Authority of Travancore or of Travancore-Cochin in the exercise or purported exercise of any powers conferred on it by any law for the time being in force in the State shall be deemed to be a decision given by the Income-tax authority for the purposes of sub-section (2) of section 8 of the Travancore Taxation on Income.....
