.....thousand rupees, or with both. (3) No court shall take cognisance of any offence punishable under this Act except on a report in writing of the facts constituting such offence made with the previous sanction of the Board, by the Director of Fisheries or by the Managing Director of the Kerala State Co-operative Federation for Fisheries Development or by such officer of the Board or Department of Fisheries not below the rank of Assistant Director of Fisheries, as may be specified in this behalf by the Board. 20. Offences by Companies.-(1) If the person committing an offence under this Act is a company, every officer of the company who is in default as well as the company, shall be deemed to be guilty of the offence and shall be liable to be proceeded against and punished accordingly: Provided that in any proceeding against an officer of the company in respect of an offence under this Act it appears to the court hearing the case that the offence is not attributable to the negligence, default, breach of duty, misfeasance or breach of trust committed by the officer, but that he has acted honestly and reasonably and that having regard to all the circumstances of the case,.....

Amendment of section 4 .-In section 4 of the principal Act, for sub-sections (1), (2), (3), (4) and (5) the following sub sections shall be substituted, namely:- "(1) Every fisherman shall contribute to the Fund every year at such rate, as may be fixed by the Government, from time to time, on the recommendation of the Board. (1A) Every allied worker shall contribute to the Fund, every month, at such rate, as may be fixed by the Government, from time to time, on the recommendation of the Board. (4) The owner of a stakenet or chinanet shall contribute to the Fund, at such rate, as may be fixed by the Government, from time to time, on the recommendation of the Board, for nine months every year. .....for certain specified purpose The supply of water for domestic purposes shall not be deemed to include any supply,- (a) for any trade, manufacture or business; (b) for gardens or for purposes of irrigation; (c) for building purposes; (d) for fountains, swimming baths, public baths or tanks or for any ornamental or mechanical purposes; (e) for animals, where they are kept for sale or hire for the sale of their produce or any preparation therefrom; (f) for the consumption and use by the inmates of hotels, boarding houses and residential clubs; (g) for the consumption and use by the persons resorting to theatres and cinemas; (h) for constructing or for watering streets; or (i) for washing vehicles where they are kept for sale or hire; but shall be deemed to include a supply,- (i) for flushing privies or drains; and (ii) for all baths other than swimming baths or public baths. Karnataka Municipal Corporations Act, 1976 Section 187

Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940 Complete Act

.....Committee appointed by the Legislative Assembly was of the opinion that a more comprehensive measure, providing for the uniform control of manufacture and distribution of drugs as well as of import, was desirable. The Government of India accordingly asked Provincial Governments to invite the Provincial Legislatures to pass resolutions under section 103 of the Government of India Act, 1935, empowering the Central Legislature to pass an Act for regulating such matters relating to the control of drugs as fall within the Provincial Legislative list. Such resolutions have now been passed by all Provincial Legislatures. Chapter II of the Bill establishes a Board of Technical Experts to advise the Central and the Provincial Governments on technical matters. Chapter III provides for the control of the import of drugs into British India. The executive power under this Chapter will accordingly be exercised by the Central Government. Chapter IV relates to control of the manufacture, sale and distribution of drugs and contains the provisions which it is proposed should be enacted in exercise of the power conferred by the resolutions under section 103 of the Government of India Act,.....
