Title: Public Servant Taking Gratification Other Than Legal Remuneration in Respect of an Official Act

.....a motive or reward for doing or forbearing to do any official act or for showing or forbearing to show, in the exercise of his official functions, favour or disfavour to any person or forrendering or attempting to render any service or disservice to any person, with the Central Government or any State Government or Parliament or the Legislature of any State or with any local authority, corporation or Government company referred to in clause (c) of section 2, or with any public servant, whether named or otherwise, shall be punishable with imprisonment which shall be not less than six months but which may extend to five years and shall also be liable to fine. Explanation. (a) "Expecting to be a public servant." If a person not expecting to be in office obtains a gratification by deceiving others into a belief that he is about to be in office, and that he will when serve them, be may be guilty of cheating, but he is not guilty of the offence defined in this section. (b) "Gratification." The word gratification" is not restricted to pecuniary gratifications or to gratifications estimable in money. (c) "Legal remuneration." The words "legal remuneration" are not restricted to.....

Title: Statutes, Ordinances and Regulations to Be Published in the Official Gazette and to Be Laid Before Parliament

(1) Every Statute, Ordinance or Regulation made under this Act, shall be published in the Official Gazette. (2) Every Statute, Ordinance or Regulation made under this Act shall be laid as soon as may be after it is made, before each House of Parliament, while it is in session, for a total period of thirty days which may be comprised in one session or in two or more successive sessions, and if, before the expiry of the session immediately following the session or the successive sessions aforesaid, both Houses agree in making any modification in the Statute, Ordinance or Regulation or both Houses agree that the Statute, Ordinance or Regulation should not be made, the Statute, Ordinance or Regulation shall thereafter have effect only in such modified form or be of no effect, as the case may be; so, hqwever, that any such modification or annulment shall be without prejudice to the validity of anything previously done under that Statute, Ordinance or Regulation.

National Highways Authority of India Act, 1988 Complete Act

Title: Insurance of Motor Vehicles Against Third Party Risks

.....of war, civil war, riot or civil commotion; or (b) that the policy is void on the ground that it was obtained by the nondisclosure of a material fact or by a representation of fact which was false in some material particular. National Highways Authority of India Act, 1988 Section 3

Title: Constitution of the Authority

(1) With effect from such date1as the Central Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint in this behalf, there shall be constituted for the purposes of this Act an Authority to be called the National Highways Authority of India. (2) The Authority shall be a body corporate by the name aforesaid having perpetual succession and a common seal, with power, subject to the provisions of this Act, to acquire, hold and dispose of property, both movable and immovable, and to contract and shall by the said name sue and be sued. (3) The Authority shall consist of-- (i) a Chairman; (ii) not more than five full-time members; and (iii) not more than four part-time members, to be appointed by the Central Government by notification in the Official Gazette. __________________________ 1. Title: Scheme for Payment of Compensation in Case of Hit and Run Motor Accidents
