(1) The State Government may appoint such persons as they deem fit to be Inspectors of aerial ropeways. Every owner of a place intending to instal a lift in such place after the commencement of this Act, shall make an application to such officer as the 1[State] Government may authorize in this behalf for permission to erect such lift.
