Indian Maritime University Act 2008 Section 8

Title: Fund of the University

State: Central

(1) There shall be a University Fund which shall include-- (a) any contribution or grant made by the Central Government or an instrumentality of the Central Government; (b) any contribution or grant made by the State Governments; (c) any contribution from the shipping companies, off-shore construction companies and diving companies; (d) any bequests, donations, endowments or other grants made by any private individual or institution; (e) income received by the University from fees and charges; and (f) amounts received from any other source. (2) The said fund shall be utilised for such purposes of the University and in such manner as may be prescribed by the Statutes and the Ordinances.

In Note 1 to this Chapter and in heading 4002, the expression "synthetic rubber" applies to: (a) unsaturated synthetic substances which can be irreversibly.....

Offshore Areas Mineral (Development and Regulation) Act, 2002 Chapter II

Title: General Provisions for Acquition of Operating Rights in the Offshore Areas

.....anything contained in this Act, the Central Government may-- (a) authorise seaward artillery practice under the Seaward Artillery Practice Act, 1949 (8 of 1949); (b) provide for, by notification in the Official Gazette, special measures to ensure public safety and interest, the defence of India and civil defence, conduct of the naval operations and exercises, national security and other strategic considerations and the matters connected therewith during war like conditions or otherwise. (4) No operating right shall be granted or renewed otherwise than in accordance with the provisions of this Act and the rules made thereunder and any reconnaissance permit, exploration licence or production lease granted, renewed or acquired in contravention of the provisions of this Act or any rules made thereunder, shall be void. Offshore Areas Mineral (Development and Regulation) Act, 2002 Section 15

Title: Power of Central Government to Authorise Survey, Research and Scientific Investigations in Areas Covered Under Operating Rights

Year: 2002

Any person or agency authorised by notification in the Official Gazette, by the Central Government in this behalf, may conduct survey, research, diving operations and scientific investigations in the offshore areas, including any area covered under operating rights and the permittee, licensee or lessee, as the case may be, shall permit such person or agency to undertake the said investigations in their respective areas and to render such assistance as may be necessary for conduct of the investigations.

(10) Where, the Executive Council or the management, does not, within a reasonable time, take action to the satisfaction of the Visitor, the Visitor may, after considering any explanation furnished or representation made by the Executive Council or the management, issue such directions as he may think fit and the Executive Council shall comply with such directions.
