Title: Of Presenting Documents for Registration

.....who shall forthwith forward it to the Registrar to whom he is subordinate. (5) Nothing in this section applies to copies of decrees or orders. Section 35 - Procedure on admission and denial of execution respectively (1) (a) If all the persons executing the document appear personally before the registering officer and are personally known to him, or if he be otherwise satisfied that they are the person they represent themselves to be, and if they all admit the execution of the document, or (b) if in the case of any person appearing by a representative, assign or agent, such representative, assign or agent admits the execution, or (c) if the person executing the document is dead, and his representative or assign appears before the registering officer and admits the execution, the registering officer shall register the document as directed in sections 58 to 61 inclusive. (2) The registering officer may, in order to satisfy himself that the persons appearing before him are-the persons they represent themselves to be, or for any other purpose contemplated by this Act, examine any one present in his office. .....referred to in section 19 presented for registration shall be accompanied by such number of duplicate copies thereof as may be prescribed by rules under section 69. (2) The duplicate copy shall-- ( a) be neat and legibly typed or handwritten, as the case may be, on paper of such specification as may be notified by the State Government from time to time; (b) contain a declaration that the same is a true copy of the document to be registered in such manner as may be prescribed by rules under section 69; (c) be compared and verified by such official as may be directed by the Registering Officer; (d) be separately bound and permanently kept in such manner as may be prescribed by rules under section 69." 3Uttar Pradesh: After section 32, the following section shall be inserted, namely:-- "32A. Giving of true photostat copies of documents prescribed for registration.-- Notwithstanding anything contained in this Act, in such areas as may be notified by the State Government, every document or any translation of documents referred to in section 19 presented for registration shall be accompanied by such number of true photostat copies thereof, as may be prescribed.....

.....and hydrological and other related data and such other information as the Board may require for the performance of its functions under this Act. SECTION 16: FORWARDING OF, AND CONSULTATION WITH RESPECT TO PLANS ETC PREPARED BY THE BOARD (1) The Board shall forward copies of the Master Plan, reports, estimates, standards and specifications prepared by it to the Central Government and the State. Governments concerned. (2) The Central Government and the State Government concerned may consult the Board with regard to any matters connected with, or arising out of, such plan reports, estimates or standards and specifications. (3) If, for any reason, a State Government considers it necessary to execute any project for the control of floods and bank erosion and drainage work in the Brahmaputra Valley and such project is not envisaged in the Master Plan or such project is intended to be executed by the State Government in a manner not in conformity with the Master Plan, the State Government may consult the Board with regard to the execution of the project and the Board may make such recommendations as it may deem fit: Provided that nothing contained in this sub-section shall.....

.....engineering Company Limited was incorporated in 1917 with its registered office at Calcutta. It owned at Titagarh an engineering unit (where it manufactured road rollers, jute mills machinery and other industrial machinery) and a steel foundry. It also set up in 1960 at Mokameh, a unit to manufacture Railway Wagons, steel structurals, etc. The engineering unit at Titagarh closed down in October 1970 and on the 22nd May, 1976 its management was taken over by the Central Government and entrusted to M/s. Westinghouse Saxby Farmer Limited, Calcutta, a company managed by the Government of West Bengal and in which the West Bengal Government has 87.75 per cent, share-holding. The West Bengal Government has taken complete financial and managerial responsibility for managing the Titagarh unit. The steel foundry is being managed by Industrial Reconstruction Corporation of India. The wagon unit at Mokameh closed down in March 1973. The Central Government took over the management of this unit on the 15th February, 1974 under the Industries (Development and Regulation) Act, 1951and the 22nd February, 1974. 2.
