Deposits with the Financial Corporation (1) The Financial Corporation may accept from the State Government, or with the prior approval of the Reserve Bank, from a local authority or any other person deposits repayable after the expiry of a period which shall not be less than twelve months from the date of the making of the deposit and on such other terms as the Board thinks fit: Provided that the total amount of such deposits shall not exceed twice the paid-up share capital of the Financial Corporation: Provided further that the State Government may permit the Financial Corporation to accept deposits up to a higher limit not exceeding ten times the paid-up share capital of the Financial Corporation. (2) Any deposit accepted under Sub-section (1), other than a deposit from the State Government may, if so required by the Financial Corporation, be guaranteed by the State Government as to the repayment of the principal and payment of interest.] .....

Karnataka Municipal Corporations Act, 1976 Chapter V

Section 70 - Power of councillors (1) Any councillor may draw the attention of the proper authority to any neglect in the execution of corporation work, to any waste of corporation property or to the wants of any locality, and may suggest any improvements which he considers desirable. (2) Every councillor shall have the right to interpellate on matters connected with the corporation administration subject to the regulations framed in this behalf.

Air Corporations Act, 1953 [Repealed] Repealing Act 1

Title: Air Corporations (Transfer of Undertakings and Repeal) Act, 1994

.....of this Act, the Central Government may, by order published in the Official Gazette, not inconsistent with the provisions of this Act, remove the difficulty: Provided that no such order shall be made after the expiry of a period of two years from the coming into force of this Act. (2) Every order made under sub-section (1) shall be laid before each House of Parliament. 11. Repeal of Act 27 of 1953 and cessation of corporations (1) On the appointed day, the Air Corporations Act, 1953 shall stand repealed. (2) The corporations shall, with the repeal of the Air Corporations Act, 1953, cease to exit. 12. Repeal and saving (1) The Air Corporations (Transfer of Undertakings and Repeal) Ordinance, 1994 (Ordinance 4 of 1994) is hereby repealed. (2) Notwithstanding such repeal of the Air Corporations (Transfer of Undertakings and Repeal) Ordinance, 1994 (Ordinance 4 of 1994), anything done or any action taken under the said Ordinance shall be deemed to have been done or taken under the corresponding provisions of this Act.

Life Insurance Corporation Act, 1956 Chapter 4

Title: Transfer of Existing Life Insurance Business to the Corporation

.....in the first instance, and if the amount so determined is approved by the Central Government it shall be offered to the insurer in full satisfaction of the compensation payable to him under this Act, and if, on the other hand, the amount so offered is not acceptable to the insurer he may within such time as may be prescribed for the purpose have the matter referred to the Tribunal for decision. (2) A Tribunal may choose one or more persons possessing special knowledge of any matter relating to any case under inquiry to assist the Tribunal in determining any question which has to be decided by it under this Act.
