Be it enacted by Parliament in the Twenty-second Year of the Republic of India us follows: - SECTION 01: SHORT TITLE AND EXTENT (1) This Act may be called the Manipur (Hill Areas) District Councils Act, 1971. (2) It extends to the whole of the Union territory of Manipur. SECTION 02: DEFINITIONS In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires,- (a) "Administrator" means the administrator of the Union territory of Manipur2appointed under article 239 of the Constitution; (b) "autonomous district" means an autonomous district referred to in sub-section (1) of section 3-; (c) "building" includes a house, out-house, stable, latrine, urinal, shed, hut, wall (other than boundary wall) and any other structure (whether of masonry, bricks, wood, mud or other material) but does not include any portable or temporary shelter; (d) "constituency" means a District Council constituency provided by order made under section 5-for the purpose of elections to the District Council: (e) "Deputy Commissioner", in relation lo any District Council, means the officer appointed as such by the Administrator, by notification in the Official Gazette, to perform the functions of the Deputy.....

.....ACT, 1971 FARIDABAD COMPLEX (REGULATION AND DEVELOPMENT) ACT, 1971 [Act No. 42 of 1971] [16th November, 1971] PREAMBLE An Act to enact a uniform law for regulation and development of the Faridabad Complex and the adjoining towns and localities Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Haryana in the Twenty- second Year of the Republic of India as follows :- Section 1 - Short title, extent, and commencement (1) - This Act may be called the Faridabad Complex (Regulation and Development) Act, 1971. (2) It extends to the whole of the Faridabad Complex and such other areas as may be included from time to time by the State Government by notification in the Official Gazette in the Faridabad Complex. (3) It shall come into force on such day as the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint in this behalf. THE BOMBAY BUILDING (CONTROL ON ERECTION, RE-ERECTION AND CONVERSION) (REPEAL) ACT 1971 [Act No. XLI of 1971]1 [08th November, 1971] PREAMBLE An Act to repeal the Bombay Building (Control on Erection, Re-erection and Conversion) Act, 1948. WHEREAS, it is expedient to repeal the Bombay Building (Control on Erection, Re-erection and Conversion) Act, 1948; it is hereby enacted in the Twenty-second Year of the Republic of India as follows :- INTRODUCTION In 1948, the Bombay Building (Control on Erection, Re-erection and Conversion) Act. 1948 was enacted. At that time, there was an acute shortage of having accommodation for industrial towns and cities in the State therefore, to regulate the supply of building materials (e.g. bricks, iron and steel, cement etc.) and rationing the supply to the needy, such Act to control the construction of buildings was enacted. During that shortage period, non-essential construction work was not allowed without permission. But when such situation was eased, the old Act, is now repealed. ______________ 1. .....Republic of India as follows :" SECTION 01: SHORT TITLE This Act may be called The Uttar Pradesh Cantonments (Control of Rent and Eviction) (Repeal) Act, 1971. SECTION 02: REPEAL OF ACT 1 OF 1952 On and from the date on which the United Provinces (Temporary) Control of Rent and Eviction Act, 1947 is excluded by notification under section 3 of the Cantonments (Extension of Rent Control Laws) Act, 1957, to the Cantonments in the State of Uttar Pradesh, the Uttar Pradesh Cantonments (Control of Rent and Eviction) Act, 1952 shall stand repealed. SECTION 03: SAVINGS (1) The repeal of the Uttar Pradesh Cantonments (Control of Rent and Eviction) Act, 1952 by section 2 shall not affect" (a) the previous operation of the said Act or anything duly done or suffered there under; or (b) any right, privilege, obligation or liability acquired, accrued or incurred under the said Act; or (c) any penalty, forfeiture or punishment incurred in respect of any offence committed against the said Act; or (d) any investigation, legal proceeding or remedy in respect of any such right, privilege, obligation, liability, penalty, forfeiture or punishment as aforesaid, and any such investigation, legal.....
