.....ACT, 1956 MEDICAL COUNCIL ACT, 1956 102 of 1956 30th December, 1956 "The objects of this Bill are to amend the Indian Medical Council Act, 1933 (Act 27 of 1933)- (a) to give representation to licentiate members of the medical profession, a large number of whom are still practising in the country, (b) to provide for the registration of the names of citizens of India who have obtained foreign medical qualifications which are not at present recognised .under the existing Act; (e) to provide for the temporary' recognition of medical qualifications granted by medical institutions in countries outside India with which no scheme of reciprocity exists in cases where the medical practitioners concerned are attached for the time being to any medical institution in India for the purpose of teaching or research or for any charitable object; (d) to provide for the formation of a Committee of Post-graduate Medical Education for the purpose of assisting the Medical Council of India to prescribe standards of post-graduate medical education for the guidance of Universities and to advise Universities in the matter of securing uniform standards for post-graduate medical education.....

Presidency Small Cause Courts Act, 1882 Chapter I

This Act may be called the Presidency Small Cause Courts Act, 1882; and it shall come into force on the first day of July, 1882. But nothing herein contained shall affect the provisions of the Army Act (44 & 45 Vict., c.58), {The figures "1881" were repealed by Act 12 of 1891, s.2, and Schedule I} section 151 {Coll.Stat., Vol.I}, or the rights or liabilities of any person under any decree passed before that day. Section 2 - [Repealed] [Repeal of enactments.] Repealed by the Repealing Act, 1938 (1 of 1938), section 2 and Schedule. Section 3 - [Repealed] [Amendments of Acts.] Repealed by the Repealing Act, 1938 (1 of 1938), section 2 and Schedule. Section 4 - Small Cause Court and Registrar defined In this Act, "the Small Cause Court" means the Court of Small Causes constituted under this Act in the town of Calcutta, Madras or Bombay, as the case may be, {Inserted by Act 3 of 1899, section 2}[and the expression "Registrar" includes a Deputy Registrar].

Lunacy Act, 1912 Complete Act

.....CASE OF A EUROPEAN LUNATIC SOLDIER, SAILOR OR AIRMAN. When any European who is subject to the provisions of the 21Army Act,22[the Naval Discipline Act or that Act as modified by the Indian Navy (Discipline) Act, 1934],23[the Air Force Act or the5Indian Air Force Act, 1932] has been declared a lunatic in accordance with the provisions of the military,22[naval]24[or air force] regulations in force for the time being, and it appears to any administrative medical officer that he should be removed to an asylum, such administrative medical officer may, if he thinks fit, make a reception order under his hand for the admission of the said lunatic into any asylum which has been duly authorised20for the purpose by the Central Government. SECTION 13: POWER AND DUTIES OF POLICE IN RESPECT OF WANDERING OR DANGEROUS LUNATICS AND LUNATICS CRUELLY TREATED OF NOT UNDER PROPER CARE AND CONTROL (1) Every officer in charge of a police-station may arrest or cause to be arrested all persons found wandering at large within the limits of his station whom he has reason to believe to be lunatics, and shall arrest or cause to be arrested all persons within the limits of his station whom he has reason to.....

Kolkata Municipal Corporation Act, 1980 Complete Act

(7) "building of the warehouse class" means a building, the whole or a substantial part of which is used, or intended to be used, as a warehouse, factory, manufactory, brewery, or distillery, or for any similar purpose, which is neither a "domestic building" nor a "public building" as defined in this section, and includes a hut used or intended to be used for any of the purposes mentioned in this clause; (8) "bustee" means an area containing land not less than seven hundred square metres in area occupied by or for the purposes of any collection of huts or other structures used or intended to be used for human habitation. Explanation.-If any question arises as to whether any particular area is or is not a bustee, the Corporation shall decide the question and its decision shall be final; (9) "Kolkata" means the area described in Schedule I; 3 Clause (10) omitted by s. 2 of the Calcutta Municipal Corporation (Amendment) Act, 1996 (West Ben. Act VI of 1996) (with retrospective effect from 4.12.1995), which was earlier as under: '(10) "candidate" in section 75 and in Schedule III means a person who has been nominated as a candidate at any election of a Councillor or who claims.....
