.....repealed shall, so far as may be, be deemed to have been respectively made, issued, conferred, granted, acquired, incurred and done under this Act. (2) Any enactment or document referring to the Patiala Court of Wards Act, 2000, shall, so far as may be, be construed to refer to this Act or the corresponding portion thereof. 3. Definitions: - In this Act, unless there is anything repugnant in the subject or context,- (a) "Financial Commissioner" includes any person exercising the powers of the Financial Commissioner; (b) "Government" means the Government of the State of 1[Punjab]; (1Substituted for "Patiala and East Punjab States Union" by the Punjab Adaptation Laws (State and Concurrent Subjects), Order 1968. (c) "immovable property" includes land, benefits to arise out of land, and things attached to the earth or permanently fastened to anything which is attached to the earth, but does not include growing crops or grass; (d) "land-holder" means a person who possesses any interest in land, whether as proprietor, assignee of the land revenue, lessee of waste lands or otherwise; (e) "minor" means a person who has not, within the meaning of the Patiala.....

Amendment of section 1 In section 1 of the Poisons Act, 1919 (12 of 1919) (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act) for sub-section (2), the following sub-section shall be substituted, namely:- "(2) It extends to the whole of India: Provided that it shall not apply to the State of Jammu and Kashmir except to the extent to which the provisions of this Act relate to the importation into India of any specified poison.". 3.Amendment of section 3 and 6 In section 3 and clause (b) of section 6 of the principal Act, for the words "the States" the words "India" shall be substituted. 4. Repeal The enactments specified in the Schedule are hereby repealed. THE SCHEDULE (See section 4). 1. The Cochin Poisons Act., 1111 (XXX of 111). 2. The (Hyderabad) Poisons Act (IV of 1322 Fasli). 3. Act 21 of 1987- When the Coconut Development Board Act was enacted in 1979. horticultural and plantation crops were handled in the Crops Division headed by the Agriculture Commissioner in the Department of Agriculture and Co-operation and. accordingly, he was included as ex officio member of the Board. With the importance that the horticultural programmes have acquired and their contribution to the national economy, a separate full-fledged Division, known us Horticulture Division, headed by the Horticulture Commissioner, has been established. As the work of coconut development at the national level and that of the Coconut Development Board is being looked after by the Horticulture Commissioner, it is necessary that he may be made an ex officio member of the Board in place of the Agriculture Commissioner for taking effective participation in the activities of the Board by amending the Act. 2.
