Title: Punishment of Offences Committed Beyond, but Which by Law May Be Tried Within, India

Any person liable, by any 1 [Indian law] to be tried for an offence committed beyond 2 [India] shall be dealt with according to the provisions of this Code for any act committed beyond 2 [India] in the same manner as if such act had been committed within 3 [India]. _________________ 1. Government of India Act, 1858 [Repealed] Section 55

Title: Except for Repelling Invasion, the Revenues of India Not Applicable for Any Military Operation Beyond the Frontiers

Year: 1858

Except for preventing or repelling actual Invasion of Her Majesty's Indian Possessions, or under other sudden and urgent Necessity, the Revenues of India shall not, without the Consent of both Houses of Parliament, be applicable to defray the Expenses of any Military Operation carried on beyond the external Frontiers of such Possessions by Her Majesty's Forces charged upon such Revenues.

Guardians and Wards Act, 1890 Section 16

Title: Appointment or Declaration of Guardian for Property Beyond Jurisdiction of the Court

If the Court appoints or declares a guardian for any property situate beyond the local limits of its jurisdiction, the Court having jurisdiction in the place where the property is situate shall, on production of a certified copy of the order appointing or declaring the guardian accept him as duly appointed or declared and give effect to the order.

Title: Disposal of Things Found in Search Beyond Jurisdiction

State: Central

Year: 1973

When, in the execution of a search-warrant at any place beyond the local jurisdiction of the Court which issued the same, any of the things for which search is made, arc found, such things, together with the list of the same prepared under me provisions hereinafter contained, shall be immediately taken before the Court issuing the warrant, unless such place is nearer to the Magistrate having jurisdiction therein than to such Court, in which case the list and things shall be immediately taken before such Magistrate; and unless there be good cause to the contrary, such Magistrate shall make an order authorising them to be taken to such Court.

Railways Act, 1989 Section 138

Title: Levy of Excess Charge and Fare for Travelling Without Proper Pass or Ticket or Beyond Authorised Distance

.....or sub-section (2), as the case may be, or fifty rupees, whichever is more: Provided that if the passenger has with him a certificate granted under sub­section (2) of section 55, no excess charge shall be payable. (4) If any passenger liable to pay the excess charge and the fare mentioned in sub-section (1), or the excess charge and any difference of fare mentioned in sub-section (2), fails or refuses to pay the same on a demand being made therefor under one or other of these sub-sections, as the case may be, any railway servant authorised by the railway administration in this behalf may apply to any Metropolitan Magistrate or a Judicial Magistrate of the first or second class, as the case may be, for the recovery of the sum payable as if it were a fine, and the Magistrate if satisfied that the sum is payable shall order it to be so recovered, and may order that the person liable for the payment shall in default of payment suffer imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to one month but not less than ten days. (5) Any sum recovered under sub-section (4) shall, as and when it is recovered, be paid to the railway administration.

Cantonments Act, 1924 Section 286

Title: Extension of Certain Provisions of the Act and Rules to Place Beyond Cantonments

The1[Central Government) may, by notification in the Official Gazette, and subject to any conditions as to compensation or otherwise which it thinks fit to impose, extend to any area beyond a cantonment and in the vicinity thereof, with or without restriction or modification, any of the provisions of Chapters IX, X, XI, XII, XIII, XIV and XV or of any rule or bye-law made under this Act for the cantonment which relates to the subject-matter of any of those Chapters, and every enactment, rule or bye-law so extended shall thereupon apply to that area as if the area were included in the cantonment. _____________________________ 1. Title: Employment of Police Officers Beyond the State to Which They Belong

Karnataka Municipalities Act, 1964 Section 246

Title: Slaughter Houses, Etc., Beyond Municipal Limits

It shall be lawful for the municipal council with the sanction of the Deputy Commissioner, to establish slaughter houses, or places for the disposal of carcasses of animals beyond the limits of the1[municipal area] and all provisions of this Act and of bye-laws in force thereunder relating to such places within municipal limits shall have full force therein, as if such places were within the municipal limits. _______________________________ 1.
