.....hospital ships or sick-bays of vessels of the protection due to them:- (Conditions not depriving hospital ships of protection.) (1) The fact that the crews of ships or sick-bays are armed for the maintenance of order, for their own defence or that of the sick and wounded. (2) The presence on board of apparatus exclusively intended to facilitate navigation or communication. (3) The discovery on board hospital ships or in sick-bays of portable arms and ammunition taken from the wounded, sick and shipwrecked and not yet handed to the proper service. (4) The fact that the humanitarian activities of hospital ships and sick-bays of vessels or of the crews extend to the care of wounded, sick or shipwrecked civilians. (5) The transport of equipment and of personnel intended exclusively for medical duties, over and above the normal requirements. CHAPTER IV PERSONNEL Article 36 The religious, medical and hospital personnel or hospital ships and their crews shall be respected and protected; they may not be captured during the time they are in the service of the hospital ship, whether or not there are wounded and sick on board. ..... 1. Tea and tea waste Rupee one per kg. Note: (1) In the case of goods specified in the Fourth Schedule, being goods manufactured in India, there shall be levied and collected for the purposes of the Union, by surcharge, an additional duty of excise, at the rate specified in the said Schedule. (2) The additional duty of excise referred to in sub-section (1), shall be in addition to any other duties of excise chargeable on such goods under the Central Excise Act or any other law for the time being in force. (3) The provisions of the Central Excise Act and the rules made thereunder, including those relating to refunds and exemptions from duties and imposition of penalty, shall, as far as may be, apply in relation to the levy and collection of the additional duty of excise leviable under this section in respect of the goods specified in the Fourth Schedule as they apply in relation to the levy and collection of the duties of excise on such goods under that Act or those rules, as the case may be. .....agreement or convention with any country; (s) the compliance of imported goods with any laws which are applicable to similar goods produced or manufactured in India; (t) the prevention of dissemination of documents containing any matter which is likely to prejudicially affect friendly relations with any foreign State or is derogatory to national prestige; (u) the prevention of the contravention of any law for the time being in force; and (v) any other purpose conducive to the interests of the general public.
