.....of births and deaths, parks, gardens, recreation grounds, schools, hospitals and dispensaries, markets, work-shops, warehouses, godowns, factories, offices, industrial or commercial establishments, or any other convenience which the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, specify to be an amenity; (c)"Government Township" means an area which is declared as such by the State Government by notification published in the Official Gazette; 22. Clause (d) ins. by W.B. Act 32 of 1976. (d) "prescribed" means prescribed by rules made under this Act. Section 3 Application of enactments to Government Townships Whenever, in the opinion of the State Government, it is necessary to make provisions for all or any of the purposes of this Act in respect of a Government Township, the State Government may, by order to be published in the Official Gazette, extend to such Government Township with such incidental or consequential modifications as the State Government may consider necessary- (a) any provision of the Calcutta Municipal Act, 1951, the Bengal Municipal Act, 1932, or the Calcutta Metropolitan Water and Sanitation Authority Act, 1966, (b) any provision.....

.....of the Opposition.- ( 1) The Leader of the Opposition in the Tripura Legislative Assembly shall, so long he continues as such Leader, be entitled to such salary, allowances and other amenities as may be admissible to a Minister (other than the Chief Minister, Minister of State and Deputy Minister). In addition, he will be entitled to stationery as admissible under section 8 F of the Salary, Allowances and pension of Members of the Legislative Assembly (Tripura) Act, 1972. (2) Any provision in any existing Act or rules which is contrary to or inconsistent with provision of this Act shall stand modified or repealed to the extent of such contradictions or inconsistencies without, however, affecting anything already done or any action taken under the relevant provision of the said Act or the rules. THE MOTOR VECHICLES (KERALA AMENMENT) ACT, 1976 [1] THE MOTOR VECHICLES (KERALA AMENMENT) ACT, 1976 [1] (Act 7 OF 1977) An Act further to amend the Motor Vehicles Act, 1939, in its application to the State of Kerala . Preamble. - WHEREAS it is expedient further to amend the Motor Vehicles Act, 1939, in its application to the State of Kerala , for the purpose hereinafter appearing; BE it enacted in the Twenty-seventh Year of the Republic of India as follows: 1. Short title and extent .- (1) This Act may be called the Motor Vehicles (Kerala Amendment) Act, 1976. (2) It extends to the whole of the State of Kerala . 2. Amendment of section 59 . - In section 59 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1939 (Central Act 4 of 1939), after subsection (1), the following subsection shall be inserted, namely: - "(1A) Before granting permission under the preceding subsection, the transport authority shall make such enquiry as it may consider necessary to satisfy itself that the transfer asked for is bona fide and not likely to defeat the provisions of the Kerala Motor Transport Workers' Payment of Fair Wages Act, 1971, (23 of 1971) or any other law for the time being in force.
