THE TRIPURA SECURITY ACT, 2000 THE TRIPURA SECURITY ACT, 2000 An Act To make special provision for the security of the State, maintenance of public order and maintenance of supplies and services essential to the life of the community in the State of Tripura. Whereas it is expedient to make special provision for the security of the State, maintenance of public order and maintenance of supplies and service essential to the life of the community in the State of Tripura and for matters connected with the purpose aforesaid ; Be in enacted by the Tripura Legislative Assembly in the Fifty-first year of the Republic of India as follows:- Short title, Extent, Commencement and duration. 1. (1) This Act may be called the Tripura Security Act, 2000. (2) It extends to the whole of the State of Tripura. (3) Itshall be deemed to have come into force on and from the 15th day of August, 2000. (4) This Act shall remain in force up to and inclusive of the 14th day of August, 2005.
