JUVENILE JUSTICE ACT, 1986 JUVENILE JUSTICE ACT, 1986 53 of 1986 An Act to provide for the care, protection, treatment, development and rehabilitation of neglected or delinquent juveniles and for the adjudication of certain matters relating to, and disposition of, delinquent juveniles. Be it enacted by Parliament in the Thirty-seventh Year of the Republic of India as follows:- SECTION 01: SHORT TITLE, EXTENT AND COMMENCEMENT (1) This Act may be called The Juvenile Justice Act, 1986. (2) It extends to the whole of India except the State of Jammu and Kashmir.
