THE EAST PUNJAB URBAN RENT RESTRICTION (AMENDMENT) ACT, 1985 THE EAST PUNJAB URBAN RENT RESTRICTION (AMENDMENT) ACT, 1985 [Act No. 2 of 1985] [November 16, 1985] PREAMBLE An Act to amend the East Punjab Urban Rent Restriction Act, 1949 Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Punjab in the Thirty-sixth Year of the Republic of India as follows :- Section 1 - Short title This Act may be called the East Punjab Urban Rent Restriction (Amendment) Act, 1985. Section 2 - Amendment of Section 2 of Punjab Act 3 of 1949 In the East Punjab Urban Rent Restriction Act, 1949 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act), in Section 2, - (a) in clause (h), for the words "the Schedule", the word and figure 'Schedule I" shall be substituted; and (b) after clause.....
