An act to provide for the levy and collection of additional surcharge on land revenue. Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Punjab in the Eleventh Year of the Republic of India as follows :- 1. Short title and extent " (1) This Act may be called the Punjab Land Revenue (Additional Surcharge) Act, 1960. (2) It extends to the whole of the State of Punjab. 2. Definitions : - In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires - (a) "additional surcharge" means the enhanced land revenue levied and collected under section 3; (b) "land revenue:" shall have the meaning assigned to it in clause (6) of section 3 of the Punjab Land Revenue Act, 1887, but shall not include " (i) a special assessment made under the Punjab Land Revenue (Special Assessment) Act, 1956 (Punjab Act No. 6 of 1956) (ii) the surcharge.....
