The Displaced Persons (Compensation and Rehabilitation) Act, 1954 Complete Act

.....(Ordinance NO.XVII of 2006) and the said notification shall not be invalid and shall be deemed never to have been invalid merely by reason of the fact that they were expressed to have been issued under the provisions of the said Ordinance No. XIII of 2006, and anything done or any action taken (including any lease or allotment granted or made) under the provisions of the said notifications shall, notwithstanding any defect in or invalidity of the said notifications, be deemed for all purposes to have been validly done or taken as if the said notifications were issued under the provisions of the aforesaid Ordinance No. XVII of 2006 and this Section was in force on the day on which such thing was done or action was taken. Commentary 11. Rehabilitation and other grants to displaced persons" (1) The Central Government may for the relief and rehabilitation of displaced persons direct payment of any rehabilitation grant or other grant out of the compensation pool to a displaced person under such conditions and to such extent and in such form and manner as may be prescribed. .....apply in like manner as if such State Tube Wells were a canal within the meaning of the said Act, except the provisions of section I, clause (4) of section 3, section 5 and Parts VI and VIII of the said Act: Provided that for the purpose of such application the said Act shall be subject to the following modification : 1(1) For the purpose of Tube wells constructed , maintained, or controlled by the Corporation the officers of the Corporation holding such offices as correspond to the offices mentioned in clause (7) of section 3 of the said Act shall exercise the same powers as are exercisable by the officers of the State Government holding corresponding offices in respect of the tube wells constructed, maintained or controlled by the Government and they shall be deemed to have been appointed as Canal Officers within the meaning of the aforesaid clause (7). 1Subsituted for the word "the Government" by Punjab Act No. 3 of 1974. (1-A) In section 6 of the said Act , for the words "so named " the words and figures "named" in a notification under section of Punjab State Tube well Act 1954" for the words "State Government" the world "State Government" or the Corporation, as the case may.....

THE INDIAN FOREST (PUNJAB AMENDMENT) ACT, 1954 THE INDIAN FOREST (PUNJAB AMENDMENT) ACT, 1954 [Act No. 20 of 1954] [11th May 1954] PREAMBLE An Act to amena the Indian Forest Act, 1927 (Act XVI of 1927) in its application to Punjab. It is hereby enacted as follows :- Section 1 - Short title and extent (1) This Act may be called The Indian Forest (Punjab Amendment) Act, 1954. Punjab Government Gazette Extraordinary, dated the 9th March, 1954. (2) It extends to the whole of Punjab. Section 2 - Amendment of section 76 of Act XVI of 1927 In clause (c) of section 76 of the Indian Forest Act, 1927, between the word "timber" and the word "belonging" the words "or other forest produce" shall be inserted, and the words "not grown on lands belonging to or in the occupation of private persons" shall be omitted.
