Section1 - (1) This Act may be called the Puducherry Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Act, Section2 - In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires, Section3 - (1) The Government shall by notification in the Official Gazette, establish a Board for the territory by the name of Section4 - (1) The jurisdiction of the Board shall extend to the whole of Union territory of Puducherry Section5 - The aims of the Board shall be to provide secondary and higher secondary and such other courses of education as it may Section6 - Subject to conditions as may be prescribed and subject to such directions as may be issued by the Government from time Section7 - The following shall be the Officers of the Board Section8 - (1) The Chairman of the Board shall be appointed by the Government by a notification published in the official gazette Section9 - (1) The Chairman of the Board shall be the principal academic and controlling officer of the Board and shall preside Section10 - (1) The Secretary of the Board shall be a whole time salaried officer of the Board.
