THE PONDICHERRY (ADMINISTRATION) ACT, 1962 THE PONDICHERRY (ADMINISTRATION) ACT, 1962 (Act 49 of 1962) (5th December, 1962) An Act to provide for the administration of Pondicherry and for matters connected therewith. Be it enacted by Parliament in the Thirteenth Year of the Republic of India as follows:- Short title, extent and commencement:- 1. (1) This Act may be called the Pondicherry (Administration) Act, 1962. (2) It extends to the whole of Pondicherry. (3) It shall be deemed to have come into force on the 16th day of August, 1962.
