Preamble1 - THE ORISSA LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY MEMBERS' SALARY, ALLOWANCES & PENSION ACT, 1954 Section1 - Short title and Commencement Section2 - Definitions In this Act unless the context otherwise requires " Section3 - There shall be paid and delivered a salary; Section4 - Allowances There shall be paid to every member the following allowances, except the allowances mentioned in Section4A - Fixed allowance for travel not connected with duty There shall be paid to each Member, other than the Leader of the Section4B - [Substituted vide O.A. No. 4 of 2003, O.G.E. No. 163 dated 1.2.2003.] [ Section5 - Amenities Section7 - Provided that a member who is Leader of the Opposition shall, so long he continues to be such leader and for a period Section6 - Accommodation in inspection Bungalows etc. Notwithstanding anything contained in any other law, rules or orders for Section8 - Continuance of the existing rules Notwithstanding anything contained in this Act but subject to the provisions of Section9 - Interpretation Except as otherwise provided, if any question arises as to the interpretation of this Act or of the Section10 - Repeal The Orissa Legislative Assembly Member Salaries and Allowances Act, 1938 is hereby repealed.
