The Nagaland Land and Revenue Regulations (Amendment) Act, 2002 (Act No. 1 of 2002) [Received the assent of the Governor of Nagaland on the 27th March, 2002 and published in the Nagaland Gazette Extraordinary dated 15th April, 2002.] An Act further to amend the Assam Land and Revenue Regulation, 1886 (Regulation No. 1 of 1886) It is hereby enacted in the fifty third year of the Republic of India as follows:- 1. Short title. Extent and commencement : (1) This Act may be called the Nagaland Land and Revenue Regulation (Amendment) Act, 2002. (2) It shall extend to the whole of Nagaland. (3) It shall come into force from such date and in such areas as the State Government may direct by notification in the official Gazette. 2. Amendment of Section 162 of the Assam Land and revenue Regulation, 1886 : In Section 162, after sub - section (2), the following proviso shall be inserted :- "Provided that nothing contained in this chapter or in the rules made there under shall affect any transfer by way of a mortgage in favour of any nationalised banks, a corporative society.....

.....is hereby extended and shall be in force in the State of Nagaland. 3. Extension to have retrospective effect.
