The Mizoram Salaries, Allowances and Pension of Member of the Legislative Assembly (Second Amendment) Act, 2004 Complete Act

.....Government Chief Whip and Deputy Government Chief Whip Act, 1999 or has served in all or any two of such capacities by virtue of his membership in the Mizoram Legislative Assembly or in the Assam Legislative Assembly shall also be taken into account" 6. Amendment of sub-section (1): of Section 17 "Family Pension" 6. In sub-section (1) of Section 17 of the Principal Act, as amended for the words, namely, "family pension of two thousand rupees per mensem" the words, namely "family pension of two thousand five hundred rupees per mensem" shall be substituted. 7. Amendment of Section 18. Second proviso to Explanation under Section 18 of the Principal Act shall be deleted. 8. Insertion of a new Section. A new Section shall be inserted after Section 21, namely: "Interpretation 22. If any doubt arises as to the interpretation of any of the provisions of this Act, the decision of the Speaker shall be final". 9. Renumbering of Section. The existing Section 22 be renumbered as Section 23.

Assessment: (1) If the assessing authority is satisfied that a return furnished under section 10 is correct and complete or satisfactory, he shall determine the tax payable by assessee on the basis of such return. (2) If the assessing authority is not satisfied with a return furnished under section 10, he shall serve on the assessee a notice requiring him, on the date and at the hour and place to be specified therein, either to attend in person or cause to be produced evidence in support of the return. (4) If any person fails to make a return as required under section 10 or having made the return fails to comply with the terms of the notice issued under sub-section (1) of section 10, the assessing authority shall assess and determine the tax payable by him: Provided that before making assessment, the assessing authority may allow the person such farther time as he thinks fit to make the returns or to comply with the notice issued under.....

(1) The State Government shall facilitate in obtaining the licence to use the certification mark, namely, 'India Organic' for such exporters, manufacturers and processors whose organic crops or products are duly certified by the accredited inspection and certification agencies, from the Government of India. (2) For the purposes of the grant ol" licence to use the certification mark for the organic crops and products, the Organic Products Certification Mark Regulations, 2002 as accepted by the Steering Committee for National Programme for Organic Production constituted by the Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India, and as amended from time to time, shall apply. 8.
