In section 3 of the Legislative Assembly of Meghalaya (Members' Pension) Act, 1977 as amended, (hereinafter referred to as the principle Act), in sub-section (1) (a) for the words "seven hundred and fifty rupees" the word "one thousand rupees" shall be substituted. (b) in the second proviso thereto, for the words "fifty" and "five hundred" the words "one hundred" and "two thousand" respectively shall be substituted. Revised rate of pension to apply to Ex-Members of Legislative Assembly. 3. The revised rate of pension under section 2 shall, with effect from the commencement of this act, also apply to all persons receiving pension under the provision of the principal Act before its amendment by this Act.
