THE CIVIL DEFENCE ACT, 1968 THE CIVIL DEFENCE ACT, 1968 NO. 27 OF 1968 (Law Ministry - Government of India) (24th May, 1968) An Act to make provision for civil defence for matters connected therewith. Be it enacted by Parliament in the Nineteenth year of the Republic of India as follows:- CHAPTER - I PRELIMINARY 1. Short title, extent and commencement . (1) This Act may be called the Civil Defence Act, 1968 (2) It extends to the whole of India.
