THE IMMORAL TRAFFIC (PREVENTION) ACT, 1956 THE IMMORAL TRAFFIC (PREVENTION) ACT, 1956 An Act to provide in pursuance of the International Convention signed at New York on the 9th day of May, 1950, for the prevention of immoral traffic. Be it enacted by Parliament in the Seventh Year of the Republic of India as follows: 1. Short title, extent and commencement." (1) This Act may be called The Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act, 1956. (2) It extends to the whole of India.
