..... 24-9-1981 MAHARASHTRA ACT No. LVIII OF 1981 Amended by Mah. 28 of 1996 An Act for regulating the employment of Private Security Guards employed in factories and establishment in the State of Maharashtra and for making better provisions for their terms and conditions of employment and welfare, through the establishment of a Board therefor, and for matters connected therewith. WHEREAS both Houses of the State Legislature were not in session; AND WHEREAS the Governor of Maharashtra was satisfied that circumstances existed which rendered it necessary for him to take immediate action to make a law for regulating the employment of Private Security Guards employed in factories and establishment in the State of Maharashtra and for making better provisions for their terms and conditions of employment and welfare, through the establishment of a board therefor, and for matters connected therewith, and, therefore, promulgated the Maharashtra Private Security Guards (Regulation of Employment and Welfare) Ordinance, 1981 (M Ord. .....year of the Republic of India as follows SECTION 01: SHORT TITLE This Act may be called the Maharashtra Prevention of Water Pollution (Repeal) Act, 1981 SECTION 02: DEFINITIONS In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires. (a) "appointed day" means the date specified in the resolution passed by both Houses of the State Legislature under Article 252 of the Constitution of India as the date of the adoption of the Central Acts for application to the State of Maharashtra; (b) "the Central Acts" means the Water (Prevention and Control of pollution) Act, 1974 and the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Amendment Act, 1978. (c) "the Maharashtra Act" means the Maharashtra Prevention of Water Pollution Act, 1969. SECTION 03: REPEAL OF MAH. XVJ OF 1970 AND DISSOLUTION OF BOARD CONSTITUTED THEREUNDER On the appointed day, the Maharashtra Act shall stand repealed and the Board constituted there under shall stand dissolved.
