Bombay Land Improvement Schemes Act, 1942 Complete Act

.....out in his land, shall fix the date before which the owner shall carry out the works. (5) If such owner fails to carry out any work to the satisfaction of the Executing Officer before the date fixed by him or at any time expresses in writing to the Executing Officer his inability to do so, the Executing Officer may himself get the work carried out and the expenses incurred by the Executing Officer for the purpose shall be recovered from the owner. .....was no provision in the Bombay Land Improvement Schemes Act, 1942, for the rules made thereunder to be laid before the houses, as a matter of practice, such rules were usually sent to the Legislature Secretariat for being laid before the State Legislature. The Committee on Subordinate Legislation had recommended that suitable amendment in the Act may be made to make the usual statutory provision laying of the rules before such House of the State Legislature.- vide Statement of Objects and Reasons.- Mah. 26 of 1977. The Government of Maharashtra had set up a Company called the Maharashtra Land Development Corporation Limited (hereinafter referred to as the M.L.D.C. ) for the purposes of executing and financing land development schemes under the Bombay Land Improvement Schemes Act, 1942, in the commands of the irrigation projects, with the aid of institutional finance. The M.L.D.C. had prepared and forwarded such schemes of the order of Rs. 130 crores to the Agriculture Refinance and Development Corporation (hereinafter referred to as the A.R.D.C. ) for approval and allocation amongst financing institutions. .....for the original by Bom 63 of 1947, s. 3. ************************************************************************** SECTION 03A: 1[PERMISSION TO FACTORIES TO MIX STANDARD COTTON WITH ANY OTHER STANDARD COTTON OR ANY PROHIBITED VARIETY OF COTTON WITH STANDARD COTTON (1) Notwithstanding anything contained in section 3 or any notification issued thereunder, the 2[State] Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, permit any standard cotton to be mixed with any other standard cotton or any prohibited variety of cotton to be mixed with any standard cotton in any factory in which cotton is manufactured into yarn or cloth: Provided that the mixed cotton is not made into fully pressed bales, and is used in such factory exclusively in the manufacture of yarn or cloth. (2) The owner or person in charge of the factory shall maintain or cause to be maintained a register containing a daily record of cotton other than standard cotton received into and used in the factory. IV-B, p. 1072). In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of section 1 of the Bombay Land Improvement Schemes (Amendment) Act, 1976 (Mah. XLIII of 1976), the Government of Maharashtra hereby appoints the 15th day of September, 1976, to be the date on which the said Act shall come into force. _________________ 1. This sub-section was substituted for the original by Bom. 30 of 1958, section 3(1). 2. These words were substituted for the words State of Bombay by the Maharashtra Adaptation of Laws (State and Concurrent Subjects) Order, 1960. 3. This word was substituted for the word Provincial by the Adaptation of Laws Order, 1950. 4. This proviso was added by Bom. 30 of 1958, section 3(2). 5.
