Part I of 4th November, 1974). An Act to provide for the abolition of whipping as a punishment. Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Haryana in the Twenty-fifth Year of the Republic of India as follows :- 1. Short title and extent. (1) This Act may be called the Haryana Abolition of Whipping Act, 1974. (2) It extends to the whole of the State of Haryana. 2. Abolition of whipping. The punishment of whipping as provided in any law with respect to any of the matters specified in the Slate and Concurrent Lists of the Seventh Schedule to the Constitution of India is hereby abolished. 3.
