Preamble1 - Central Provinces Laws Act, 1875 Section1 - SHORT TITLE - This Act may be called the Central Provinces Laws Act, 1875; Local extent.- It extends to the territories Section2 - REPEAL OF ENACTMENTS AND RULES - On and from the date on which this Act comes into force, the following shall be Section3 - CERTAIN ENACTMENTS TO BE DEEMED TO BE IN FORCE - On and from the said that the enactments specified in the schedule Section4 - CONFIRMATION OF EXISTING ACTS - Every6[Central Act] which extends, or can by notification be extended, to the Section5 - RULE OF DECISION IN CASES OF CERTAIN CLASSES - In questions regarding inheritance, special property of females, Section6 - RULES IN CASES NOT EXPRESSLY PROVIDED FOR - In cases not provided for by section 5-, or by any other law for the time Section7 - ARTICLES EXEMPT FROM ATTACHMENT - Implements of husbandry and cattle for agricultural purposes and implements of trade Section8 - POWER TO MAKE SUBSIDIARY RULES - The said8[State Government] may from time to time make rules consistent with this Act Section9 - PENALTY FOR BREACH OF RULES - The11[State Government] may. in making any rule under this Act, attach to the breach of Section10 - PUBLICATION OF RULES, FORCE OF RULES - All rules made under this Act shall12[* * *] be published in the13[Official Section11 - LOCAL REPEAL, IN PART, OF CODE OF CIVIL PROCEDURE -Section 184,185and189 of the Code of Civil Procedure are hereby Section12 - SECTIONS SUBSTITUTED IN SAME CODE -ForSections 182,190and191of the same Code the following shall be substituted

Preamble1 - The Tolls on Roads and Bridges Act, 1875 Section1 - REPEAL OF ACT VIII OF 1851 Act VIII of 1851 is hereby repealed insofar as it affects the Presidency of Bombay Section2 - [Act XV of 1864 deemed to have been extended to Bombay Presidency from 30th July, 1864.] Rep. Act XVI of 1895 Section3 - RATES OF TOLLS TO BE LEVIED The 4[Provincial Government] may cause such rates of tolls, not exceeding the rates Section4 - PROCEDURE IN CASE OF NON-PAYMENT OF TOLLS In case of nonpayment of any such toll on demand, the officers appointed to Section5 - EXEMPTIONS FROM TOLL PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT MAY GRANT OTHER EXEMPTIONS No tolls shall be paid for the passage 1[* * *1 Section6 - POLICE-OFFICER BOUND TO ASSIST TOLL-COLLECTORS All Police Officers shall be bound to assist the toll-collectors when Section7 - PENALTY ON UNAUTHORISED PERSON DEMANDING TOLLS, AND FOR ILLEGAL DEMAND Every person, other than the persons appointed Section8 - TABLE OF TOLLS TO BE PUT UP AT GATE OR STATION A table of the tolls authorised to be taken at any toll-gate or station, Section9 - COLLECTORS OF TOLLS MAY COMPOUND FOR TOLLS Any person entrusted with the management of the collection of tolls under Section10 - POWER OF PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT TO LEASE THE LEVY OF TOLLS It shall be lawful for the 1[Provincial Government] to lease Section11 - 1[ACTS OF LESSEE OR HIS AGENT When the tolls on any public road have been duly leased, the lessee, and every person Section12 - 3[ [Application of tolls.] Rep.
