Section Text

1) Whoever in contravention of the provisions of sub- section (1) of (section 23) fails to give notice of any accidental occurrence or to post a copy of the notice on the special notice board referred to in that sub-section and to keep it there for the period specified shall be punishable with imprisonment for a term which may extend to three months, or with fine which may extend to five hundred rupees or with both.

(2) Whoever in contravention of a direction made by the Central Government under sub-section (3) of (section 23) fails to record in the prescribed register or to give notice of any accidental occurrence shall be punishable with imprisonment for a term which may extend, to three months, or with fine which may extend to five hundred rupees, or with both.
